A few kilometers north of Nazareth, in the heart of Galilee, the land of the childhood, miracles and instructions of Jesus, the Laura Netofa is situated on a hilltop between Hermon and Tabor, the Lake of Tiberiade and the Mediterranean. The surroundings evoke the first months of the disciples with the Lord in the simplicity of rural life and their fascination for “the most handsome of the children of men”. The community maintains an amicable relationship with the Arab villages on the hillside and with the Jewish “moshav” nearby. The community seeks to foster unity in a country that is wounded by divisions.
