THE FOUNDATION OF MEXICO
Since the month of October 2018, with the approval of the Cardinal of Guadaljara, Monseigneur José Fransisco Robles, a small community of six sisters has been welcomed in Jocotepec (Jalisco), the town closest to the chosen location for the building of the future monastery. It will be situated on the crest of one of the hills overlooking the lake of Chapala: a desert of silence and solitude in the midst of a breathtakingly beautiful nature.
At present the first six sisters are living in a house which has been lent to them at Jocotepec and are preparing the foundation of the future monastery in prayer, liturgical and fraternal communion and labor. They invite all those who so desire to collaborate, in order that the project of the future monastery may be fulfilled, and that they may soon be able to lead their life of prayer and intercession according to their vocation, and welcome pilgrims seeking a place of prayer and recollection.
